  • It can be tough to know if therapy is right for you, but there are a few signs to look out for. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or noticing a significant change in your mood or behavior, it might be time to talk to someone. Therapy is a safe space to explore your feelings and work towards healing and growth.

  • It's completely understandable to wonder whether therapy will be beneficial for you. It's important to remember that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but rather a unique experience tailored to your specific needs and goals. There are so many different ways therapy can benefit you - from gaining self-awareness and learning new coping skills to improving communication in relationships and healing from trauma. Therapy is a safe space for you to express yourself and work through difficult emotions and situations.

  • Yes, I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming and BIPOC-inclusive therapist. You can expect that I am open-minded and accepting of all genders, races, and sexualities.

Above all, I want you to know that I value and accept you for who you are as a person. No matter where you come from, what your life experiences have been, or what your identity is, you are welcome and loved in my (virtual) office. I believe in creating a safe and accepting space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment or discrimination. So if you're struggling or just need someone to talk to, I'm here for you, and I'm committed to supporting you every step of the way.

  • I like to call our first appointment a “get to know you” session. During this time, we’ll discuss what is bringing you to therapy and how it affects your daily life, as well as establish your goals. We will use this session as a starting point for your treatment in therapy.

  • Generally speaking, yes, what you share in therapy is confidential. This means that as your therapist, I will not share any information about you or your treatment with others, unless you have given me explicit permission to do so.

There are some circumstances in which I may be required to break confidentiality, however. For example, if I believe that you may harm yourself or someone else, I am required by law to disclose certain information to protect your safety or the safety of others. Additionally, in cases where there is suspected child or elder abuse, I am also required to report this to the appropriate authorities.

  • There’s no such thing as TMI in therapy. I want you to bring up anything and everything that is important to you - nothing is off-limits.

  • Online therapy is similar to traditional face-to-face therapy, but it is provided via a secure video platform. All you need is a smart phone, laptop/desktop, or tablet and an internet connection.

You can have your session from anywhere - your home, your car, etc., so long as you are physically in Colorado or Indiana at the time of the appointment due to licensing laws. For safety purposes, I’ll ask for your location. To keep things confidential between us, make sure you're in a private area where nobody can listen in on our conversation.

  • Online therapy has all the benefits of face-to-face therapy! Plus, with online therapy, you have greater scheduling flexibility and can have your session from the comfort of your home or virtually anywhere - your car, a park, or wherever you may find yourself (so long as you are still physically in Indiana or Colorado)!

Please note: It is important to have a private space during session so you may feel free to openly discuss why you have come to therapy.

  • We will decide how frequently we need to meet based on your individual needs. Typically, sessions are once a week. We will periodically discuss if this is appropriate for you based on your progress in therapy and may work toward biweekly or monthly sessions or discontinue therapy altogether once you have reached your goals.
